Since 2016 sonder SOLUTIONS has been empowering disadvantaged individuals and underserved populations in our community, through whole person employment and workforce development services.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the effects on the Rancho Cordova community have been devastating. With the closure of non-essential businesses, members of our community’s workforce are now finding themselves out of work indefinitely.
Many of these workers have been with their current employer for years; for some, even decades. The job market has changed significantly since the last time that they have conducted a job search or applied for a job. They are finding themselves out of practice in regards to conducting job searches and are in need of new skills so that when the job market picks up, they will be in the best possible position for success.
This is where sonder SOLUTIONS comes in.
As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, sonder SOLUTIONS is proud to be able to expand our mission to serve ANY resident of Rancho Cordova who is currently out of work and is, or will be, actively seeking employment.
Our ‘Rancho Rises Up’ program will assist our community’s youth and adults who are in need of updated job skills so that as they re-enter the workforce, they are properly equipped to face a competitive job market.
‘Rancho Rises Up’ consists of the following activities:
Job Club bi-weekly; covering topics like ‘How To Take Charge Of Your Interview’, ‘Transferable Skills’, ‘Career Transitions’, ‘Emotional Intelligence and Work Readiness’ and ‘Employment Gaps’
Employment preparation workshops; covering topics like ‘Application Review’, ‘Interview Techniques’, and ‘Group Mock Interviews’
1-to-1 meetings as needed for additional support and to cover topics such as: ‘Creating a Resume’, ‘Cover Letter Development’, and ‘Attainable Career Paths’
Program participants may be eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion program through sonder SOLUTIONS’ online training resource
Job placement assistance will also be provided to each participant who completes the program.
